In a MyFIRE course, instructors are able to create video assignments which allow learners to respond to course learning materials through remote video presentations. Additionally, students can complete peer reviews of each other's presentations if enabled in the video assignment settings. This tutorial demonstrates how to grade a peer reviewed video assignment.

1.        Login to MyFIRE and access your course.

2.        Select Content & Assessments in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

3.        Select the module or submodule that houses the video assignment.

4.        Select the video assignment title.

5.        When the page refreshes, you will see the assignment evaluation page.

6.        At the top of the page, you will see the assignment title, the type of assignment, the type of evaluation, and the assignment due date.

7.        At the top right of the page, you have the option to export the comments or scores for the students’ submissions by selecting the Export button.

8.        Next to Export, there is also a Publish option. Once you have evaluated students’ submissions, select this button to publish their scores.

9.        Next, you will see progress insights such as, how many students have submitted to the assignment, how many evaluations have been published, and a progress bar indicating where each submission is in the evaluation process.

10.  Hover over each section of the progress bar for more information about each stage.

11.  Scrolling down the page, you will see a list of all of the students in the course, the status of their submissions, the date the time they submitted to the assignment if applicable, and their score if they have been evaluated.

12.  Filter the list by Name, Status, Submission Time, or Score by selecting the Name drop-down menu.

13.  You also have the option to filter by status: Not Viewed, Viewed, In Progress, Needs Evaluation, Evaluated, and Published.

14.  Search for a specific student by typing in the search box on the right.

15.  Switch between the compact view and details view by selecting the icon next to the search bar.

16.  If you switch to Details View, you will additionally see the number of items not submitted, items submitted, and a peer review score for the student if they have been reviewed by their peers.

17.  To view a student’s submission, select the student’s name.

18.  When the page refreshes, you will see the number of items submitted and not submitted by the student next to the due date and date and time the student submitted the assignment.

19.  Select the ellipsis icon in the top right to view the assignment instructions.

20.  You will see a list of all of the students on the left side of the screen. Select each student’s name to easily navigate between submissions.

21.  If the student needs to make changes to their submission, select the Reset Submission button to reset the student’s submission.

22.  Next, enter a score for the student in the Score field.

23.  You have the option to save the score either as a draft, or save and publish for the student to view.

25.  You will be able to see the five-star rating compiled by the peer reviews of other students, as well as how many peer reviews have been completed for the student in parentheses next to the star rating.

26.  By selecting the ellipsis icon next to the star rating, you will be able to download the student’s video, open the video in a new window, or edit the preset comments.

27.  You will be able to see comments left for the student by their peers in the comments window.

28.  Leave a comment by either typing in the comment field for text feedback or by selecting the camera icon to the left to record video feedback.
