MyFIRE offers the option of adding resources to courses. Adding links to library articles provides students with quick access to content that is applicable to their courses. This tutorial demonstrates how to link a library resource to a course in MyFIRE. Step 1. Navigate to the Library webpage: https://library-seu-edu.seu.idm.oclc.org/home/start Step 2. Select the desired database by selecting articles and databases at the top of the page. A. When the page refreshes, locate the desired database by selecting a general database or choosing a database from the database drop-down menu.
Step 3. Search for the desired article(s) in the database(s). Step 4. Once the desired article has been located, select the permalink on the right-hand side of the page.
Step 5. Once selected, a permalink bar will appear at the top of the page linking the direct permalink. Copy the link. Step 6. In MyFIRE, navigate to the desired content location in a course by selecting content & assessment tab in the navigation bar at the top of the page. Step 7. Select upload/create.
Step 8. A drop-down menu will appear, select create a link. Step 9. A pop-up window will appear. Title the link. Step 10. In the URL field, paste the permalink from the library database article.
Step 11. Select the open as external resource checkbox. Step 12. Select create.
