Creator+ allows instructors and course creators to build engaging and interactive learning materials directly in Brightspace, improving engagement and simplifying grading and reporting. By leveraging existing workflows with easy-to-use tools, users can build dynamic content and media experiences that appeal to the love of learning, improve comprehension, and achieve high engagement for instructors and learners.

The Layouts tool allows instructors to create panels that add structure and help organize course content. This tutorial demonstrates how to build Creator+ Layouts on the Content & Assessments page.

1.        Navigate to the Content and Assessments page.


2.        Locate the module in which you would like to create the content.


3.        Select Upload/Create.


4.        Select Create a File.


5.        In the MyFIRE Editor textbox, select the Creator+ icon.


6.        Select Insert Layout. Then select an option from the following: Note: In mobile view, panels will stack. Two Panels - two equally sized panels Two Thirds / One Third Panels - a large panel followed by a smaller panel One Third / Two Thirds Panels - a small panel followed by a larger panel Three Panels - three equally sized panels


7.        Once an option is selected, the number of panels selected will appear in the MyFIRE Editor textbox. Once the content is published, the dashed outlines visible while editing the content will no longer be visible.


8.        Enter the desired content in each panel and format using the MyFIRE Editor tools.


9.        Select a panel for more formatting options.


10.  If desired, rearrange the layout by selecting the up and down arrows.


11.  If you would like to change which layout type you are using, select the convert layout icons to switch layouts.


12.  To delete a layout, select the trash can icon.


13.  To remove a layout but keep the content you have already created, select the Remove Layout icon.


14.  Once you have added a Layout, add additional text or content surrounding the layout in the MyFIRE Editor textbox.
