The MyFIRE Editor is the primary method of creating instructions and content in the learning environment. The editor textbox can be found in many tools throughout MyFIRE. It allows users to enter text, pictures, embed audio/video, or even embed HTML code. This tutorial demonstrates how to insert an embed code in the MyFIRE Editor.

 

1.        Navigate to the desired course in MyFIRE.

2.        Navigate to the desired location with the MyFIRE Editor where you would like to add the embed code.

3.        Once within the MyFIRE Editor, select the Insert Stuff button. This option allows users to add a variety of elements to be inserted including files from the computer, files from the course, shared files, ePortfolio files, video notes (30-minute recorded video), URL links, and embed codes.

Note: If the original files or links are changed or deleted, the added item will not display properly.

4.        A pop-up menu will appear. If needed, scroll to the bottom of the list utilizing the scroll bar. Then select Enter Embed Code.

5.        The pop-up window will refresh. Paste the embed code in the embed code field.

6.        Select Next at the bottom of the pop-up window.

7.        The pop-up window will show a preview of the video. Select Insert at the bottom of the page.

8.        Finish editing the content or message and select Save and Close at the bottom of the page.
