Sometimes students are confused about why they have a
different score than MyFIRE, or that they completed an assignment. Looking at
the McGraw Hill grade book helps to understand what McGraw Hill course has
recorded. This tutorial demonstrates how to view the student’s McGraw Hill
gradebook.
1. After logging into McGraw Hill, select
‘Performance’ at the top of the page.
2. Select ‘Student performance’ in the drop-down
menu.
3. Enter the desired student’s name in the textbox.
A drop-down menu will appear as the student’s name is typed; select the desired
student.
a. We do not recommend selecting the checkbox below
the textbox, as the instructor should be in the desired teaching section.
4. The page will refresh and show the desired
student’s gradebook.
a. This area shows the submitted assignments
including; score, all graded attempts, date started, date submitted, time
spent, and date scored.
b. The ‘All Assignments’ drop-down menu allows for
the gradebook to be filtered by assignment type.
c. There is also the option to export the results
to Excel and a print option.
5. If the desired assignment is not listed in the
‘Submitted’ area, select the ‘Assignments In Progress’ tab at the top of the
page.
This area in the screenshot above shows the
in-progress assignments. If an assignment is listed here, that means that the
student is still working on the assignment or has not submitted the assignment
after finishing (this is common).
The information lets the instructor know the
score so far based on the questions answered, date started, date submitted
(system automatically timestamps a submitted score when a question is
answered), time spent thus far, and date scored (system automatically
timestamps when the student answered a question last).
