Users can receive instant notifications outside of MyFIRE
regarding their courses sent through email. This tutorial demonstrates how to
enable and manage instant notifications from MyFIRE.
1. Once you are logged into MyFIRE, select the
profile in the top right corner.
2. A drop-down menu will appear. Select
Notifications.
3. Select how often you would like to receive a
summary of activity for your courses by selecting the frequency drop-down menu.
The options include never, daily, or weekly.
a. If selected daily, determine what time you would
like to receive the email notifications by selecting the time drop-down menu. Note:
The time is listed in Eastern Standard Time.
b. If selected weekly, determine what day and time
you would like to receive the email notifications by selecting the time and day
drop-down menus.
4. Choose which actions you would like to receive
notifications for by selecting the corresponding checkboxes.
a. Note: If choosing to receive notifications for
discussions, you must also subscribe to forums, topics, and threads in your
course.
5. To exclude specific courses from notifications,
select Manage my course exclusions to remove selected courses.
a. Choose from your listed courses in the scroll
menu or search for a specific course in the search bar.
b. To exclude a course, select the X next to the
course code.
c. When finished, select Close.
6. Then, select Save.
