Brainfuse: Getting Started with eParachute

 

Brainfuse is a free online tutoring service that students can access through MyFire. eParachute is one of the many tools that Brainfuse offers. It gives personalized recommendations for career or academic paths, and reviews suggested career or academic paths based on your unique profile that includes your interests, skills, and more. The following tutorial demonstrates how to access the eParachute academic tool. 


1.    Navigate to seu.onelogin.com/portal and log into your account.

2.    Select the MyFIRE icon within your Southeastern dashboard. 




3.    You will be redirected to the MyFIRE user homepage. If directions are needed on how to navigate through the homepage, refer to the user homepage instructions




4.    Select Need Help from the navigation bar.




5.    Select Online Tutoring: Brainfuse from the drop-down menu.




6.    The Brainfuse Homepage will appear.




7.    Scroll down on the main page to see the Brainfuse academic tools.




8.    Select the eParachute tile.




9.    Once in eParachute, select the Get Started button in the Work tab.




10. Input information that pertains to work you are interested in such as a job title and a brief description.



 

11. Select Add Idea.




12. Select Move on when finished.




13. Next, select the Get Started button in the People tab. 




14. Select the card representing the group of people that you would naturally be drawn to. Once selected, click next.

15. Select a second card with the group of people that you most relate to. Once selected, click next.




16. Finally, out of the remaining cards, select a third card representing the final group you would join. Once selected, click next.




17. Select submit.




18. Select the Get Started button in the Fields tab.




19.  Select the cards of the fields that interest you. Once at least four fields have been selected, select the next step button.




20. Select confirm.




21. The top fields of interest will be listed. To continue to the next tab, select the Go to Skills button.




22. Select the Get Started button on the Skills tab.




23. Select at least five of the cards about skills you enjoy and select next step.




24. Out of those selected, choose at least four of the skills you love the most and select next step.




25. Select the tile of the skill you enjoy most.




26. After going through all the tiles, select continue.




27. At the end of the assessment select Go to the Work Explorer.




28. In the Work Explorer, students can view various careers that reflect their skill sets and preferences.
