The Lumi Feedback tool enhances grading and feedback in
MyFIRE by integrating AI-powered feedback directly into the assignment grading
tool. Lumi Feedback is an AI-Assisted Grading Workflow that integrates with
Assignments to analyze learner submissions against instructor-provided rubrics
or grading criteria. It generates draft scores and personalized feedback for
instructor review. This tutorial demonstrates how to utilize the Lumi Feedback
tool in MyFIRE.
1. Select Instructor Tools in the navigation bar.
2. Select Course Admin.
3. Select Assignments.
4. Select the assignment you would like to grade.
5. Select a student’s submission to navigate to the
evaluation page.
6. Select the Lumi icon in the bottom left corner
of the screen. Then, select Launch.
7. The Lumi sidewindow will appear. Select Connect
your account.
8. Once you have connected to Lumi, you will be
able to enter feedback.
9. For each rubric criterion, instructors can
choose whether they would like to enhance their feedback and automatically
grade or leave it entirely manual.
10. Instructors
can customize the tone, length and add specific instructions to tailor the
Al-generated feedback across all assignments.
11. Instructors
can clearly see the Al generated feedback and grades for each rubric criterion.
If the instructor makes edits in any part, the feedback box turns from blue to
green, and gets an Edited tag.
12. Instructors
can also adjust the Al feedback for any rubric criterion by providing
additional instructions.
13. New
feedback gets instantly generated, which instructors can freely edit and adjust
before submitting them to the student.
14. To
submit the feedback and grades to the students, select Confirm.
15. The
feedback will appear in the feedback field on the evaluation page.
