Within
the gradebook, instructors can choose to display grades to students based on
points, percentages, color scheme, and letter grade. A letter grade is a
traditional grade categories where a set amount of points are assigned to each
grade symbol A, B, C, D, & F. The default scheme in the gradebook shows
percerentages as opposed to letter grades. This tutorial demonstrates how to
show letter grades in the gradebook in MyFIRE.
1. Navigate the desired course in MyFIRE.
2. Select the grades tab at the top of the page in the
navigation bar.
3. Select the setup wizard tab (fourth option) at the top of
the page.
4. When the page refreshes, scroll down to the bottom of the page
and select start.
5. For step 1 of 7: Select continue at the bottom of the
page. Keep all current setting selections
6. On step 2 of 7: Select continue at
the bottom of the page. Keep all current setting selections.
7. On step 3 of 7: Select continue at
the bottom of the page. Keep all current setting selections.
8. On step 4 of 7: Select letter grade under the default scheme column.
9. On step 4 of 7: Then select continue at
the bottom of the page.
10. On step 5 of 7: Select continue at
the bottom of the page. Keep all current setting selections.
11. On step 6 of 7: Select continue at
the bottom of the page. Keep all current setting selections.
12. On step 7 of 7: Review the selected settings
and then select finish at the bottom of the page.
13. When the page refreshes, select enter grades at the top
of the page.
14. The letter grade will appear in the gradebook. Depending on the
other grade settings that was selected, additional points or percentages may be
visible in addition to the letter grades.
