Rearrange Modules, Submodules, and Topics

 

MyFIRE offers the option to rearrange content pieces within a course so that it reflects the desired learning and format pathway for students. This tutorial shows how to rearrange course modules, submodules, and topics. 

 

1.    Locate the desired course in MyFIRE.

2.    Select Content & Assessments from the navigation bar

 

3.    Locate the module or submodule that houses the topic. 

 

4.    Locate the desired topic

 

5.    Once the topic is located, select and hold the dotted icon on the left side of the topic title. The cursor will then change to a cross-hairs.



6.    Then drag the topic to its new location. A line will appear and move with the topic to show where the topic will be located while rearranging the item. Also, the topic will be translucent. 

 

7.    Once the desired location is found, drop the content topic by releasing the mouse.  

8.    To move a topic to a new module, select the topic and drag it to the new module in the table of contents sidebar. The module that the topic will be moved to will be highlighted light blue. Note: You may need to reorder topics within the new module. 

9.    To move a sub-module, select the module that houses the sub-module.

 

10. Select and hold the dotted iconon the left side of the sub-module title. The cursor will then change to a cross-hairs.

 

11. Drag and drop the submodule to its new location. The module that the sub-module will be moved to will be highlighted light blue. 

 

a.    To change the sub-module to a module, when dragging and dropping the sub-module in the table of contents, a line will appear to show where the sub-module will be added as a module. Drop the sub-module in the desired location.
