Intelligent Agents are emails that can be automated and personalized. Use intelligent agents to monitor login activity, course activity, and release conditions in your course. This tutorial demonstrates how to create an intelligent agent in MyFIRE. Before you begin creating your intelligent agent, decide the following conditions: A. Criteria the agent looks for (could include login activity, course activity, and attached release conditions). B. Content of the agent’s email notification. C. How often the agent acts. Step 1. From within your course, select course admin from the navigation bar. Step 2. When the page refreshes, locate and select intelligent agents from the available communication tools. Step 3. When the page refreshes, select new agent at the top of the page.
Step 4: If for some reason, you cannot locate a course, select the view all courses link at the bottom of the My Courses area. Step 5. The page will refresh and a search bar will appear. Within the search bar, search for any piece of the course title or the course code of the desired course. Note: Filter and sorting options are available to help locate the desired course. Filter by semester, department, role, course name, course code, date pinned, last accessed, or enrollment date. Step 6. Once you have located the desired course, pin the course to your user homepage by selecting the ellipsis icon in the top right corner of the course. Step 6a. A drop-down menu will appear. Select pin.
Step 7. Once done locating the desired course, select the X icon in the top right corner of the page. You will be navigated back to your user homepage. Step 7a. On your user homepage in the My Courses area, there will be two tabs to sort your courses. The all tab will include all of your courses including the pinned and unpinned courses. Step 7b. The pinned tab will include only courses that have been pinned. Note: The pinned tab will not appear unless you have pinned at least one course. Step 8. To unpin a course, select the pin icon in the top right corner of the desired course.
