MyFIRE
offers the option to import questions from the question library into quizzes,
surveys, and self-assessments. Therefore, utilizing the question library is
beneficial for instructors. Questions can still be added to the question
library if a quiz is already created. This tutorial demonstrates how to
transfer quiz questions into the question library tool in MyFIRE.
1. Access
the desired course in MyFIRE.
2. Select instructor tools from the navigation bar.
3. A
drop-down menu will appear. Select course admin.
4. Locate
and select quizzes.
5. When
the page refreshes, select the question library tab.
6. Select import.
7. A
drop-down menu will appear. Select browse existing questions.
8. The
page will expand and open the browse existing questions page. Select source.
9. A
drop-down menu will appear. Locate and select the title of the quiz that
contains the questions that need to be added to the question library. Use the
scroll bar if needed.
10. Once
the desired quiz has been selected, the quiz questions and/or sections within
the quiz will be displayed. Choose the desired questions by selecting the checkbox to the left of the question prompt.
a. If needed search for
the desired question by entering keywords in the search bar and
selecting enter, filter, sort, or use the scroll bar on the right
side of the page.
i. Filter- This option allows
users to filter by question type (e.g., true and false or written
response).
ii. Sort- This option allows
the users to sort questions by question type, point values, and question
titles.
b. If needing to preview
the question, select the magnifying glass icon to the right of the
question.
c. If a section is listed,
select the arrow to the left of the section title.
11. Select import at the bottom of the page.
12. The
question library page will refresh, and the newly added questions will be
listed at the bottom of the question library list. If needed change the
pagination to view the newly added questions.
